Speed of delivery excellent - ordered Saturday, received Tuesday - installed by Thursday !! My type of polycarbonate (13) made insatllation more difficult as the channels are very small - but judicious use of the silicone spray helped. What an excellent idea the pouch is. Just thought I would write to say that the Ultrashield Inserts are amazing! I cannot believe how efficient these are at keeping the heat out. We have only had it installed for about 10 days now, and have already experienced an extra hot day, and very little heat got in the conservatory. It was fairly easy to install, more time consuming, about 8 hrs for a 4*3 m but well worth it! As for reducing heat loss in winter, well, I will get back to you. But I am a very happy customer. I called and spoke to Richard and explained that the roof of the conservatory had an overhang at the beginning so the square foot would be too much. My husband fitted it and had no problems at all. It seems to have made a difference with the cold in the winter, will have to wait till the summer to see if it makes a difference with the heat.

As I said on the phone I am delighted with the performance of the product to date.

As a consultant in the construction industry I was very wary in selecting a product to reduce glare and solar gain to my conservatory. The claims of some of the advertised products were not based on scientific support and where they were it was often spurious.

I bought and inserted the Ultrashield solar inserts myself and they have proved to be a resounding success. The advice and support was professional and sincere; the installation of the inserts was straightforward and providing instructions were closely followed waste was absolutely minimal.

I consider the product to be designed for the purpose and meet all the claims of the literature. I would have no hesitation in recommending it or using it again.

We are very pleased with the results. The Opal inserts we chose are doing exactly what we required. They have reduced overhead glare and excess temperature as desired. Furthermore, as the ambient temperature decreases we find that temperature in the conservatory is more even, often requiring no more than a few minutes from our fan heater to achieve a comfortable temperature, just what we wanted.

Our eight year old south facing Edwardian conservatory, fixed onto a bungalow, previously got unbearably hot. We used to be quite worried at leaving our home during hot weather, with windows by necessity, had to remain open.

I eventually chose Polysert UK Ltd, for what I thought offered the best catalogue, best samples and best price, consistant with quality. My helpful telephone conversation with Richard, soon convinced me I was onto the right supplier and within three days I took receipt of my order.

I found installation easy after fitting only a few inserts, and in fact quite enjoyable. The only downside was removing the breather tape and cleaning the algae from the bottom of the glazing panels. I soon completed 3 sides. I then had to be patient and wait 3 weeks for an independant conservatory installer to remove the remaining inaccessible polycarbonate panels, whilst he affected a repair to a leak. I then completed the installation and inserted the inserts into the remaining 5 panels.

Although it is still early days, I am convinced of the benefits and delighted with my installation. We have had some hot days already, that have now given me confidence in this product, and as a bonus I am persuaded there is also a sound insulation benefit, much quieter when it rains hard - we can now hear the TV and see it much better when sunny thanks to the Opal inserts. I only wish I had fitted them years ago.

P.S I am almost 74 years of age and am thrilled with my choice of supplier and DIY efforts.

Firstly, as a fully paid up member of the cynics society, I'm a real customer and Polysert have my permission to give out my email address if requested. Secondly, I'm not in the habit of giving testimonials or "rate your purchase" feedback, though I find such feedback is very useful when I'm buying something, so I hope that people find this useful.

In summary, I can't speak highly enough of the people at Polysert, notably Richard Keeling. My conservatory has unusual flutes in the roof panels, so Richard's patience and help in assisting me to select the correct inserts and insertion rod was much appreciated. Eventually, he even came to my house with a van load of different products to make sure that we would find a solution. Added to that, he undertook to beat the price of a primary competitor and even held the original price when the oddness of my roof meant that I needed a more expensive product.

Although we're awaiting some really hot days to assess the difference, early signs are that the inserts do the job very well. They were certainly easy enough to fit, even for a DIY dumbo like me. Give yourself between 60-90 minutes per metre of roof, and you won't be far out... and really, a child could fit it. The loss of light is minimal and the sheen effect of the silver inserts is quite calming.

Anyway, top marks to Polysert and many thanks for customer service that stands out from the crowd.
